Morry’s of Naples, from wine store to wine experiences
Long time Long Beach residents were saddened when Morry’s of Naples recently closed their 2nd Street storefront. As an institution in Long Beach, Morry’s was recognized for their wine and liquor selections. The closing, sad for many, took the institution out of the Long Beach area.
However, their is good news for fans of Morry’s and the good news is that Morry’s has morphed into a new experience. No longer using the brick and mortar format, Morry’s has followed many businesses into the land of online retailing. And, successfully so. The emphasis is on creating unique experiences with wine as central theme.
Morry’s is now specializing in complete online services for the wine and dine market. With sales, tours and catering as part of the new Morry’s, the business is entering a new phase of their long (since 1938) history. One of the newest of Morry’s adventures focuses on the combination of wine tasting and afternoon or evening boat trips.
On Friday, August 27th, Morry’s will be featuring a South African wine night coupled with a night on the water. Participants will be boarding a Catamaran in Long Beach’s Rainbow Harbor and will cruise Long Beach while enjoying fine South African wines.
The 2 hour trip will tour Long Beach, and with the Long Beach skyline highlighted as night falls, guests on the boat will take part in the tasting as well as having the opportunity to mix and get to know the other passengers.
The trip will depart from Rainbow Harbor (on a stable catamaran). Reservations may be made by going online to Morry’s or by calling 949.945.7083. This is a wonderful opportunity to taste, mingle and sightsee on a Friday night.
As always, have a winederful day!
