1938 was a memorable year. While the cloud of the “Great Depression” still hung over the United States, Morry Rabin, a savvy young entrepreneur in Long Beach California, took a gamble and opened his very own liquor and convenience store called “Morrys.”

Now, 73 years later, the tradition of service and innovation that made Morry’s a unique destination from the beginning still continues today. As an extended part of the Morry’s family, I have joined the growing trend of consuming organic products.  In the process I have encountered an amazing group of winemakers dedicated to preserving the natural process of wine making.  This is not a new practice, but an old one being brought back to life by select individuals that range from new to seasoned wine makers.  For those who are interested in learning about and exploring these unique wineries, Organic Wine Exchange will be the place for you.

In addition, an event site will be launching soon, which will promote businesses of all shapes and sizes, that take the time to craft amazing food and wine (or specialty drink) parings and classes. These consciously designed menus will delight the oenophile and food expert in all of you.

Although Morry’s has been a part of my life and soul since the day I was born, it has not been what has defined me.  I was always encouraged by my family to venture into my own career outside of running a wine business.  After graduating with and Art and Film degree, I spent many years in Los Angeles working in the film industry.  The combination of working long hours, with a diverse group of people has allowed me to develop a tough skin, extreme dedication to a project, a new perspective, as well as leadership and business skills.  Recently, I taken it as my mission to find the missing pieces needed to flourish in and ever changing wine industry, and create a business with passion that will last at least another 73 years.  Join my family as we leap into a new era of wine exploration.
